Responsible for supporting the IOP Program under the direction of the IOP Manager, by ensuring that the schedule/program is consistently delivered, patients are supervised, that safety is maintained, and patients and guests are treated with respect and dignity.
Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients from various locations and facilities to the IOP location, Hospital campus and/or other designated locations. This position will maintain a daily log of mileage and gasoline usage and submit all gas receipts to the appropriate person(s). Responsible for cleaning the interior of the car on a regular basis, assuring the vehicle is presentable for the transport of patients. Position will also maintain mileage records for the purpose of scheduling routine maintenance. Responsible for ensuring that patients are supervised; safety is maintained at all times; and patients are treated with respect and dignity.
QualificationsEducation/Licensure:
• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Will require valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using personal or hospital owned vehicle.
Experience:
• Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact. Completion of additional age specific training within 30 days of employment as required. Must be at least 21 years of age. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime. Where applicable, must obtain and maintain agency affiliation.
• At least one (1) year experience driving 8-12 passenger vans professionally preferred.
