DEFINITIONUnder the supervision of the Director of Adult Education, the Director of Nursing & Allied Health willprovide overall direction, coordination and instruction of the nursing and allied health programs.WORK YEAR: 210 DaysEXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide overall direction and coordination of the vocational nursing, nurse assistant and allied healthprograms Provide instructional programs consistent with all regulations of BVNPT and CDPH Provide instruction in vocational nursing and nurse assistant programs, as needed Be willing to work with other staff members as appropriate to maintain program continuity Maintain accurate records and documentation for all aspects of nursing and allied health programs Participate in appropriate faculty, in-service, and advisory meetings Perform related duties such as participating in community activities, providing remedial assistance andcounseling students with academic problems Supervise any instructional aides assigned to the program Communicate effectively both orally and in writing Work cooperatively and collaboratively with all stakeholders, including staff and industry partners Provide leadership to staff; motivate staff to implement planned changes Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Maintain accurate records and ensure security of confidential records; prepare reports Read, interpret, apply and explaining rules, regulations, policies and procedures Train and supervise personnel Plan, organize and prioritize work Performs other duties as assigned
