Job Title: Medical Director
Location: Multiple buildings throughout Ocean and Monmouth Counties. Traveling expense included
Position Type: Full Time

Responsibilities
• Demonstrate and utilize the highest standards of medical ethics at all times.
• Display the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic, serving as a model for all medical staff.
• Assist in the provision of continuing education, on-the-job training, and the orientation of medical staff as requested.
• Supervise, advise, counsel, and discipline all medical staff in conjunction with the Human Resources department.
• Participate in recruitment/retention activities for medical staff, as necessary.
• Serve as Collaborating Physician for Nurse Practitioners or other mid-level providers, including consultations, case presentations, chart review, on-the-job training and peer review.
• Respond to medical emergencies on site as needed.
• Participate in short- and long-term program planning for the medical department and the agency.
• Participate in the development of medical department policies and procedures in accordance with accreditation requirements and professional standards.
• Assist other providers in completing their responsibilities as necessary, i.e. covering vacations and seeing patients, processing refill requests, following-up on referrals, covering telephone encounters and document in-bubbles/inbox.
• Maintain requirements of licensure, DEA certification and board certifications. Fulfill and maintain requirements for credentialing with payers and regulatory bodies.
• Provide comprehensive, high quality medical services to patients, regardless of age, sex, gender identification, income, national origin or language.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
• Maintain faculty appointment at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine for supervision of psychiatry residents
• No call coverage for overnight, weekends or holidays
Qualifications
• Must hold MD, or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Must hold a valid New Jersey Medical License.
• Must be dual board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction is a plus.
• Current DEA and CDS licenses.
• Proficient verbal and written skills. Must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
