Pediatric Hospitalist Locums Job near Hazelton, Pennsylvania 24-Hour In-House Coverage October 2024 Start Assignment Coverage Needs: In house 24 hour shifts. Need someone to stay on site for 24 hours shifts. Ongoing coverage in 2024/2025 Ability to do circumcisions is preferred Looking to fill 10-12 shifts a month Currently don t have APPs but do plan on adding them in 2025 Schedule is flexible, so it can be one day on at a time with days in between shifts. Peds floor has a low average daily census of 0-1, and the Newborn Nursery is a level 1. Neonatologists are available ATC via telemedicine (video) or phone. There are about 700 deliveries a year, so about 2 a day on average. Assignment Details/Requirements: Active Pennsylvania license Board Certification Attends deliveries and the newborn nursery as well as the small inpatient pediatric unit Attends high-risk deliveries, perform newborn resuscitation as needed and see newborns on mother-baby. Site has telehealth connection to the neonatologists. Patient volumes are low.
