JobSummary:
Will utilize the nursingprocess to independently deliver nursing care to patients in order to achievequality outcomes and communicates need for guidance/supervision based onself-assessment of strengths and limitations. Promotes a positive image ofnursing and promotes collegiality among healthcare team members.
Market Float Pool RNs arescheduled in accordance with the Staffing and Scheduling- Nursing, RN Floating- Healthy Workplace Environment (HWE) and Attendance policies. Requirements ofRN unit based, facility based, or system based pools are based on which poolthey are in.
Hours: Full Time: Minimum of 36hours per week. Two weekends (or four weekend shifts) per 4 week schedulingperiod is required. The weekend is defined as Saturday and Sunday.
PRN: Minimum of 24 hoursper week. One weekend shift is required per 4 week scheduling period.
Holiday Requirements: One Major holiday for thefirst half of the year (January-June) and one Major holiday the second half ofthe year (July-December). One Minor holiday for the first half of the year(January-June) and one Minor holiday the second half of the year(July-December).

Floating: Market Float Poolemployees will be required to float to all St. Davids Healthcare SystemFacilities. Market Float Pool Nurses will be scheduled in units in which theyhave competencies. Market Float Pool Nurse can be placed in a unit below theircompetency level with a modified assignment.

Qualifications
Education and Experience: - Associate's Degree inNursing required
- Bachelor's Degree inNursing preferred
- Minimum of at least twoyears of RN experience with a minimum of one year specialty experience forthose floating to specialty areas
License andCertifications: - Current license topractice professional nursing in the state of Texas or Compact Nursing Licenserequired. If Compact, a Texas license isrequired 90 days after hire date.
- Current BLS certificationrequired
- Current ACLS certificationrequired
