Job Summary: As a Quality Inspector on our 3rd shift, you'll perform a variety of essential quality checks and tests on units, materials, or products. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to precision will ensure that all our products meet stringent quality and reliability standards.
Job Duties:
- Conduct inspections of finished or in-process goods to verify compliance with work instructions, promptly addressing any deviations.
- Utilize a variety of precise gaging instruments with skill and accuracy.
- Complete first piece inspections when necessary to confirm quality control requirements.
- Maintain meticulous records of statistical data and perform data entry tasks efficiently.
- Contribute to the development and updating of inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
- Analyze data and prepare clear summaries that highlight conformity or deviations from established standards.
- Conduct audits to uphold our rigorous quality benchmarks.
- Escalate any quality issues promptly to ensure swift resolution.
- Ensure all documentation is completed thoroughly and accurately.
- Uphold 5S standards by maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
- Embrace additional responsibilities as assigned to support our team's success.
Experience and Education:
- You'll operate under general supervision, handling moderate complexity with confidence and referring more intricate matters to higher-level staff.
- Possess a solid grasp of the subject matter, backed by 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
Competencies/ Skills:
- Ability to interpret and apply work instructions effectively.
- Strong aptitude for following both written and verbal directions precisely.
- Basic proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Sound mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Comfort with basic computer operations.
- Technical expertise in using required gaging instruments proficiently.
