Triplett, Inc. Corporate Office in Salina, KS, dba 24/7 Travel Stores, is looking for a Controller that understands accounting principles and can assist the CFO in managing the financial and accounting department. This position will be responsible for overseeing the general accounting activities of the corporation including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Daily Reconciliations and/or other daily bookkeeping duties as required by the organization. Financial Statement preparation experience is required. Former retail based experience is helpful, but not required.
The right candidate will be efficient in entering data with attention to detail and will have good math/accounting skills to make the necessary accounting calculations and postings. This person is expected to be a thorough professional with good communication abilities and analytical skills. This person must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and able and willing to learn other software within the organization as it will require continuous use of computers and computer programs and applications. Pay will be based on a variety of factors, including the individual's educational history and relevant experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares General Ledger Entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Reconciles General Ledger balances.
- Maintains files in an organized and complete manner.
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Records deposits and other daily electronic transactions.
- Reconciles cash accounts in a timely manner.
- Reconciles daily bookwork from retail stores including sales, payments and loyalty programs and rewards.
- Works with other clerical and accounting departments to keep processes current and functional.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven accounting experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers and vendors.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
