LFR Grain and Chemical Inc . is a thriving, fast-paced grain elevator, chemical and seed retailer, and farm located in Newton, NC. We buy, sell, and store corn, soybeans, and wheat. We pick up and ship out grain with our own fleet of trucks, and customers can also bring their grain in directly to our elevator. We also sell seed, chemicals, fertilizer, and greenhouse supplies.
We are hiring a 1st Shift Grain Elevator Supervisor to join our team in Newton, NC. This position will oversee daily grain elevator operations and supervise a team of elevator operators.
In this role, you will:
- Facilitate the loading and unloading of grain trucks
- Grade grain (wheat, corn, and soybeans)
- Maintain grain bins and equipment
- Manage grain inventory
- Supervise elevator operators
- Maintain and improve housekeeping of the elevator, pits, bins, scale house, lab, etc.
What we re looking for:
- Prior agriculture and/or grain and feed milling experience
- Prior management/supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food production setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Valid Driver s License
- Ability to climb ladders, enter and exit grain bins, lift 50lbs, work in dusty and varying weather conditions, and pass a drug test.
