Avera is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary
- Accountable for the safe, individualized, efficient and effective management and delivery of nursing care for hospitalized patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Provides psychoeducation to mentally ill adult patients under direct supervision of RN.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to adults with mental health issues
- Interacts professionally with providers to coordinate care for patient across the continuum
Education and/or Experience
- Must have worked in the Emergency Department in the last 12 months.
- Graduate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing required upon hire.
- Must be enrolled in in an RN program required upon hire.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Minnesota required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
- Trauma training-MN Department of Health Trauma Modules within 6 months of hire.
- CPI certifications required within 1 year of hire.
Work Schedule
- 7:00pm-7:30am; 48 hours every 2 weeks
- Every third weekend
- One summer and one winter holiday
