STS Federal Tax Credits & Incentives Manager
We are currently seeking a Specialized Tax Services (STS) Business Incentives and Tax Credits Group Manager for our Fresno, CA office. Our Specialized Tax Services ("STS") practice has gone through tremendous growth and continues to expand rapidly. This position is full-time with benefits eligible.
Qualifications/Education:
Bachelor's degree, required; focus in Accounting, preferred
Master's degree in Accounting/Taxation or J.D., preferred
Experience
Five (5) or more years of prior experience in employment tax experience, required
Prior experience supervising employment or tax professionals on a project or engagement basis, required
Experience with CARES Act employee retention credit, preferred
License/Certifications:
CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent ("EA") (or the equivalent of one of these designations), preferred
Software
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, preferred
Exposure to and familiarity with standard employment tax applications and research tools, preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior analytical and research skills
Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Capable of effective managing a team of tax professionals and delegating work assignments as needed
Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel
Ability to encourage team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnel
Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements
Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels
Advanced knowledge of appropriate application of tax standards to ensure effective and efficient delivery of tax services
Advanced knowledge of sources of relevant information utilized in tax filings
Advanced knowledge and understanding of cause / effect for taxable conditions on clients and the potential tax issues
