Description:
Custom Engineering is currently seeking 1st and 2nd shift CNC Machinists to operate horizontal boring mills, vertical mills and bridge mills.
- Create a set up and remove workpieces from a machine per procedure
- Proficiently use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and gauges to ensure conformance of specified tolerances
- Proficient at performing in-process inspections at a machine and adjusting various offsets to ensure conformance of workpieces as required
- Position and secure workpieces on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes
- Study blueprints, lay outs, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and work procedures
- Proficient knowledge in general machining practices
- Ability to recognize tooling types and procedures for machining close tolerances

Requirements: Trade Certification or equivalent experience. Experience in CNC operation/schooling Proficient in reading and understanding documents, blueprints and basic GD&T Knowledge of addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals and calculate tooling speeds and feeds Proficient knowledge of CNC controls and G-code commands Ability to adjust/set tool lengths, set work offsets, and make adjustments within a program Crane experience Forklift experience
Compensation details: 20-24 Hourly Wage
