Job Summary:
The Precast Sr. Project Manager is responsible for all field construction operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale precast construction projects from production to installed completion. This role requires expertise in project planning, contracts, execution, and delivery, with a focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction. This is position is in Shaftsbury, VT with routine travel to NY metro and Boston markets.
Essential Functions:
1.Determined. Participate in planning process of projects from start of design to completion.
2.Respect and engage. Work with subcontractors through contract negotiation to execution of work while building long term relationships.
3.Communicate. Work closely with design and operations to communicate all relevant project information serving as a conduit between the end customer and internal operations.
4.Mastery. Act as the technical expert in field operations working with onsite superintendents to ensure work is completed with high quality in a safe manner.
5.Ownership and caring. Accountable for site safety on construction sites demonstrating a protect family and friends’ mindset.
6.Committed to serve. Act as frontline customer representative throughout project to ensure a high-level customer satisfaction.
7.Results matter. Lead internal project reviews with relevant parties to determine project success on bid vs build results.
8.Lead/manage and represent PII in pre-construction coordination meetings.
9.Lead/manage team of Project Managers, Transportation Manager, and field personnel.
10.Lead/manage contract negotiations while partnering with PII general counsel.
Requirements, Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.
- 5-10 years of increasing responsibilities in a precast/pre-stressed or vertical construction management role or related type experience
- Familiar with IBC building codes, PCI and ACI design requirements to be able to converse effectively with designers, estimators, and project leadership.
- Verbal & written communication skills
- Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Forms
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Travel:
Position may require up to 40% travel by personal vehicle to job sites and offices throughout Northeast (New England, New York, and New Jersey).
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This job operates in an office and professional environment, as well as a manufacturing plant and construction environment. This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. This position also works on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time as well as lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion.
