Armstrong Law provides cost-effective legal services to Central West Virginia that primarily focus on Family Law, Civil Litigation, and Criminal Law. Specifically, cases of abuse and neglect, grandparent rights, divorce, Guardian Ad Litem, personal injury, and property transactions all while maintaining a client focused approach.
We are seeking attorneys to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be able to handle several diverse cases at a time. They will be excellent communicators who can provide personalized attention to uphold our client focused approach. Current West Virginia Bar license is required. No previous experience required, recent admittees are encouraged to apply! Sign on bonuses may be available.
Duties and Responsibilities -
Providing legal support and guidance
Advising clients on ethical behavior while charges are pending, including confiding in family and friends and social media use
Finding ethical solutions to legal matters
Communicating with clients to understand their legal concerns and needs to help provide them with essential pieces of advice
Strategizing on how to resolve the clients' cases in a favorable and cost-effective manner
Enlightening clients about legal options and educating them on the possible outcomes
Developing ideal arguments and representing clients in civil and criminal proceedings
Staying informed with current legislation
Building trustworthy relationships with clients
Preparing legal documents such as dispositions, pleadings and contracts in a timely and accurate manner
Assisting clients with the execution of agreements such as plea bargains with the regional attorney's office
Setting retainers for clients and executing contracts
Skills and Qualifications -
West Virginia Bar License
2 years experience preferred, but not required
Commitment to develop relationships with clients
Ability to handle a dynamic caseload
Upholding the highest ethical standards
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong critical thinking skills
Adaptability and attention to detail
Ability to work on a case independently and with a team of attorneys
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
