Job Summary
We are seeking an outgoing and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Assistant Account Manager to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in the insurance industry and offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within a supportive environment. As an Assistant Account Manager, you will assist in managing client accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the overall operations of the commercial insurance department.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support:
Assist in the preparation and processing of insurance quotes, applications, and renewals.
Respond to client inquiries and provide information regarding policies, coverage, and claims.
Maintain and update client records in the agency management system.
Policy Administration:
Support Account Managers in handling policy changes, endorsements, and cancellations.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of policy documents to clients.
Assist in reviewing and verifying the accuracy of policy information and endorsements.
Claims Assistance:
Provide initial support in the claims process, including gathering necessary information and documentation.
Communicate with clients and insurance carriers to facilitate the resolution of claims.
Administrative Support:
Perform general administrative tasks such as e-filing, scanning, and data entry.
Assist in scheduling and coordinating client meetings and appointments.
Prepare and distribute client communications and marketing materials.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with Business Insurance Advisors and other team members to ensure seamless client service.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of department processes.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles preferred.
Familiarity with insurance products and services is an advantage but not required.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
