POSITION SUMMARY
The Adult Therapist is responsible for providing trauma-focused crisis intervention, brief counseling, and individual and group therapy for adults in shelter and non-residential programs who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains strict VAWA and licensure confidentiality standards.
Conducts intakes for adults entering services.
Provides crisis intervention.
Provides individual counseling sessions for clients from a trauma-focused perspective.
Maintains up to date case and reporting documentation reflective of services provided.
Facilitates counseling and support groups.
Participates in weekly clinical supervision with an Esperanza-subsidized clinical supervisor if not fully licensed.
Provides internal and community referrals for clients to support ongoing therapeutic needs.
Reports on use of counseling services to residential and non-residential managers, maintaining strict confidentiality standards.
Supervises counseling intern(s).
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in counseling.
Minimum of two years' experience working as an adult counselor (preferred). Four years highly preferred.
Obtain licensure as either LMHC, LPPC, LMSW, LCSW or LISW.
Domestic violence and advocacy experience and education preferred.

Pay: $24.04 - $29.81 per hour
