Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly or modification tasks on hybrid microcircuits and sub-assemblies, including wire bonding under conditions such as small pad sizes down to 50um, very high semiconductor chip density, unusual substrate configurations which require special setup and bonding techniques
- Interpret generalized written or verbal instructions from engineers and physicists
- Read, interpret and work from drawings from controlled documentation and processes
- Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position, well as all safety procedures required at your work-site
- Participate in activities related to new product development and implementation into production
- Mount and install electrical equipment
- Use material handling equipment, including powered industrial vehicles, to move product and supplies
- May travel to customer site to assist with installation of equipment
- Wiring/soldering and assembling main and sub-assemblies
Required Skills/Abilities
- The ability to run manufacturing equipment for processes like Wire Bonding, Epoxy printing and component placement
- Good fine-motor skills and manual dexterity
- Ability to follow procedures and good communication skills
- Ability to wire and solder to the IPC standard
Education/Experience
- Previous block/crank reclaim experience
- Experience using tool setting optical comparator
- Experience trouble shoot CNC programs
- Experience setting work piece offsets
- Metallurgy experience
- 2 year technical degree or associates degree in relevant field
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
