Janitor at Ditch Witch:
This employee performs housekeeping duties for our facilities, including cleaning restrooms, floors, and windows. He or she also collects and disposes of trash, moves and sets up tables and chairs for company functions, may serve food for breaks, and performs other duties assigned.
What Will You Do?
Sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors.
Run errands in company vehicles.
Be accountable with money.
Adapt to change when needed.
Deliver supplies and food to designated areas.
Move furniture, including tables, chairs, desks, file cabinets, plants, etc.
Clean shelves, stairs, windows, etc.
Stock shelves with supplies.
Clean restrooms: sweep, mop, clean toilets, urinals, walls, etc.
Empty trash cans and trash dumpsters.
Drive carts.
Maintain quality and safety while being productive.
Work in other areas as needed.
What Will You Need?
Have a current Vehicle Operators License, and be able to achieve forklift certification.
Have appropriate basic mechanical skills.
Able to handle items weighing up to 60 pounds including pushing, pulling, and positioning items.
Have an exemplary work record, strong teamwork attitude, self-motivation, high productivity, reliable attendance, attention to quality and detail, ability and desire to learn new skills, and a cordial, cooperative personality.
Have the ability to work on your feet (standing & walking) up to 10 hours a day
Janitorial and forklift experience would be preferred.
Work Environment:
Office conditions, manufacturing plant conditions, and outside conditions at any given time. Variable temperatures, humidity, noise, and dirt.
Physical hazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, moving machinery, and material handling.
Climbing using ladders & step stools, and standing & walking on concrete floors.
Working with hazardous materials, including cleaners, floor strippers, and floor wax.
A variable work schedule (ranging from 8-12 hours daily with overtime paid after 40 hours per week) and some scheduled work on Saturdays.
