RESPONSIBILITIESAssociate Environmental Spclst, Environmental Spclst 2, Environmental Spclst 3 - Analyze data and prepare management reports on environmental compliance or safety records utilizing strong computer skills ( Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel and Power Point).
- Display k nowledge of environmental regulations and requirements (air, water, waste, oil, chemical management, wildlife management, etc.) and interpret and/or apply these to company operations.
- Translate environmental permit and plan requirements into understandable compliance guidance.
- Ensures company compliance at specific locations with environmental regulations and requirements (air, water waste, oil, chemical management, wildlife management, etc.) and site-specific environmental permit requirements.
- Serves as liaison with external and governmental agencies.
- Coordinates with and provides guidance to operations and construction personnel to ensure site compliance with environmental regulations and requirements (air, water, waste, oil, chemical management, wildlife management, etc.), environmental permits and company policies and procedures .
- Conduct multi-media environmental compliance self-assessments at operations and construction locations to ensure compliance with environmental requirements (air, water, waste, oil, chemical management, wildlife management, etc.) , environmental permits and company policies and procedures.
- Serves as primary site contact with internal department and external agencies on environmental, safety or chemical management issues.
- Serves as contact with community to resolve complaints or problems.
- Coordinate hazardous waste disposal.
- Provide training to site personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, and for other procedural requirements.
- Evaluate new regulations and coordinates compliance plan.
- Work independently and in a field environment while keeping management apprised of site environmental compliance or safety conditions.
- Be available (within 2 hours of assigned work reporting location) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to emergencies unless prior approval is granted by management. The reporting address is either Westfield, PA or New Hartford, NY.
***Please note that this position will require 25% to 50% travel.

Associate Environmental Spclst - Basic, working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations specific to the work location.
- Basic, working knowledge of environmental operating permits and regulations specific to the work site, if responsible for contracted assets.
- Basic written and oral communication skills.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Basic logic and reasoning skills, to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternatives, conclusions, or approaches.
- Basic, respectful assertiveness, to ensure environmental compliance requirements are met by others, while considering the spirit and letter of the law.

Environmental Spclst 2 - 3-4 years relevant experience.
- Good working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations specific to the work location.
- Good working knowledge of environmental operating permits and regulations specific to the work site, if responsible for contracted assets.
- Logic and reasoning skills, to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternatives, conclusions, or approaches.

Environmental Spclst 3 - At least 5-7 years relevant experience.

- Respectful assertiveness, to ensure environmental compliance requirements are met by others, while considering the spirit and letter of the law.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, to interface with internal stakeholders effectively.
Education
Bachelor (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)

Engineering or Science
