Lead, guide and direct the overall operations, integration, coordination and direction of nursing and patient care within a nursing center
Ensure that care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values and policies of Genesis HealthCare and in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
Participate in the nursing center's strategic planning and budget preparation.
Develop an effective leadership team to coordinate clinical, educational and operational activities to ensure nursing personnel possess the clinical expertise and certifications required for the patient population.
Execute a strong Quality Improvement (QI) process for the nursing department
Evaluate current systems and processes and provide problem solving assistance in Market nursing centers with regulatory or other care related issues.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college or university with a current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing. BSN preferred A minimum of five years full-time or equivalent clinical experience with at least two years' experience in nursing supervision in the skilled nursing/long-term care setting is required. Must currently holds a position as Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing/long-term care center. Must possess demonstrated leadership, organizational, interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Must be knowledgeable of Genesis policies and procedures, MDS process, state nurse practice acts, and state and federal regulations.
