Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients recover from injuries and improve their overall physical health.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients on proper use of equipment and exercises for home programs.
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and orthopedics.
- Experience in settings such as clinics, acute care, hospital medicine, geriatrics, and occupational health is beneficial.
- Familiarity with trigger point therapy techniques is a plus.
