Position Description: We promote a safe, open learning environment, and the Construction Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in our accounting department, overseeing Accounts Receivable, Job Cost and Reconciliations. In addition to main responsibilities, this individual will manage Construction and Architecture job cost related tasks while also working on process improvement projects as available.
Main Role & Responsibilities:
- Work as a conduit between our accounting and project teams to review and process all progress and T&M billings.
- Run monthly cost and revenue reports for review with project teams as they relate to project billing.
- Prepare and present information gathered on company billings, costs, accounts receivable in monthly meetings with all divisions.
- Work with Project Managers and Project Engineers from all divisions on billing, budgeting, job set-up, cost-related reviews, and reporting questions and issues.
- Responsible for budget import and set-ups in Viewpoint software.
- Assist CFO in reviewing WIP reports monthly with each division manager.
- Process and review accounts receivable reports with each division and oversee client communications.
- Manage cost adjustments.
- Assist with month-end reconciliations for specific accounts.
- Assist with implementing new processes and company-wide improvements related to accounting procedure.
Success in this Role:
- Ideal candidates will have an accounting degree/strong accounting background.
- Experience working in Viewpoint Construction Software preferred.
- Must possess a professional demeanor and a desire to learn as a team player.
- Strong leadership qualities, self-motivated and a positive team player.
- Strong problem-solving skills; Deadline and detail-oriented.
- Possess an eagerness to make improvements and dive into the capabilities of the accounting software.
- Must be comfortable being reactionary and be flexible jumping from various tasks on an as-needed basis.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, be flexible, use good judgement, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and follow up and carry multiple projects through completion.
- Ability to master project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office 365 suite, Viewpoint, Keystyle, and Adobe.

Position Requirements: - Bachelor degree in Accounting (or similar)
- A minimum of 2-4 years Accounting experience
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and Accounting Management Systems.
- Train and become experienced in Vista/Trimble Project Management and Accounting programs
- This position is eligible for a hybrid workplace schedule, with a 2 day in office requirement.
