New Psychiatry Locums to Permanent Job in Louisiana Full-time Opportunity

This is a full-time position with the option to join their team as a permanently employed physician if mutually agreed upon.
About the Site:Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive psychiatric services dedicated to improving the mental well-being of their community. The psychiatric hospital has 53 beds and offers a wide range of treatment options, including dual diagnosis, adult inpatient, intensive outpatient, addiction detox, crisis care, psychiatric evaluation, and counseling/therapy. The site is staffed by psychiatrists, therapists, advanced practitioners, nurses, and administrators.
Position Overview:In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, providing expert psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning. This is a medical director position. You will be collaborating with and supervising Nurse Practitioners on staff. Clinicals/rounding will be during the day and night/weekend call will be split between you and the NP's.
Details/Requirements:
Board-certified or board-eligible candidates
Must be comfortable with dual-diagnosis
Supervision of three NP staff included in job duties
Full-time Monday through Friday with night/weekend call requirements
Adult-only patient population
Must have active Louisiana license and DEA
Will be expected to treat and manage Suboxone patients
Rounding, evaluations, and call
