In your role, you will:- Prepare patients for procedures
- Analyze laboratory results and medical history
- Educate patient and family
- Insert IV lines
- Administer drugs including procedural sedation
- Monitor patient's patterns and vital signs during procedures
- Oversee the safety and comfort of patients
- All other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
Education• Graduate of approved nursing program required
Licenses and Certifications• RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
Preferences:Background procedural sedation, angiography, and special procedures.
Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) or Cardiovascular Nursing (CVN) is preferred.
Advance level of clinical nursing practice in Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, ICU, or ER experience preferred.
Skilled in performing circulator duties during invasive procedures. Sedation and scrub experience is also highly desired.
This position will be required to take on call during the week and some weekends.
