General PurposeProvides advice and counsel to management and client organizations. Conducts special studies and analyses, develops alternatives, presents recommendations to management and influences management decisions. Researches, analyzes, develops and implements new strategies, programs, and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions.
Responsibilities- • Assist in planning and managing the development and implementation of wildfire mitigation plans, filings, programs and business processes to meet internal and external requirements.
• Contributor in managing the complex, politically sensitive, on-going wildfire mitigation plan filings and delivery, ensuring coordination across all PacifiCorp’s states.
• Help with overall company coordination, planning, scheduling, and completion of internal reviews and meetings, and development of PacifiCorp’s long-term wildfire mitigation delivery vision, strategy, and maturation.
• Provide detailed project and program delivery plans and new processes as needed, including definition of roles/responsibilities, milestones, and execution strategy.
• Effective team member in ensuring program and project delivery ensuring all phases of projects or plans meet cost, schedule, quality, project and corporate governance requirements.
• Coordinate and direct the activities of both internal departments (and external government private agencies (Public Utility Commissions and other utilities/stakeholders) in the process of delivering assigned projects, programs, or filings.
• Attend public meetings for wildfire mitigation plan delivery, including commission led workshops and meetings or with other internal and external stakeholders.
• Function as SME regarding wildfire mitigation program requirements and delivery.
• Assist in annual or quarterly external audits as request by state specific or federal regulators.
• Provide quality program cost forecasting over the life of the mitigation plans.
• Develop scopes of work and requests for proposals for external contracts as necessary.
Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of seven years experience in an applicable field directly related to position responsibilities.
- Program design skills including development of interventions, processes, or new or modified programs to meet customer needs.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive customer outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills involving the ability to establish trust, maintain confidence, and understand social behavior and interactions.
- Ability to work with all organizational levels to influence actions and negotiate outcomes
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively through oral and written means.
- Proficient with the use of personal computers to gather, analyze, and summarize data.
- Project management and leadership skills, including the ability to work as a team member, to maintain project timelines, budgets, and deliver on commitments.
- Knowledge of research, analysis and consulting techniques, Company policies, procedures, practices, and applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations.
Preferences• Previous Utility Operations experience in a financial role.
• Previous supervisory or lead experience is desired
• Experience of guiding and creation of budget/reporting processes.
• The ability to manage client and vendor relationships.
