Raytheon is seeking a technical lab engineer with hands on experience in a lab environment to support the maintenance and troubleshooting of systems and/or equipment in the lab. The individual will also operate the engineering development stations with a focus on thoroughness and repeatability using documented procedures.
What You Will Do:
- Lead RF architecture trades and design activities for developmental programs within the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) organization.
- Perform RF system calibration activities within HWIL facilities to support system signal presentation
- Lead RF troubleshooting and failure investigation activities within HWIL facilities.
- Assist in generating requirements, statements of work, and verification plans for RF and anechoic chamber systems, to support HWIL design activities.
- Participate on HWIL engineering teams which are performing test system design, assembly and integration activities on developmental programs.
- Work in a team environment in HWIL facilities which support the full lifecycle of system development and sustainment activities.
What You Will Learn:
- System level knowledge of developmental programs within HWIL.
- Advanced signal generation and presentation, across IF and RF test environments
- Experience working across multi-disciplined group of engineers.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with RF electronics design and/or experience with RF antennas
- Active and transferrable US government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience conducting RF analyses and system test
- Strong organization, coordination, planning, teaming skills, as well as written and oral communication skills
- Existing SSBI clearance
- Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of or experience with equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, electronics maintenance, data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers
- Knowledge of or experience with software languages such as Java, C, C++, or similar languages; scripting languages such as Python and/or Perl, and MATLAB scripts for data analysis purposes
- Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers

Location Information
The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
