We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to work in a collaborative environment to join our accounting team. A staff accountant will be responsible to perform a variety of accounting assignments for multiple clients such as maintenance of accounting books and records, classification of transactions, preparation and analysis of trial balances and financial statements, and recording of journal entries.
Responsibilities for Tax Manager
Prepare individual, corporate (S corp and C corp), partnership, estate, trust, fiduciary, and exempt organization tax returns
Review General Ledger and reports to assist in preparation of tax projections
Perform tax research and planning, as needed, to solve client's tax issues
Correspondence regarding tax notices, jurisdictional issues and/or tax audits
Assist in the preparation of financial reports that may include net worth statements, cash flow schedules, meeting packages, budgets, investment analysis, etc.
Assist client service team with other projects, as necessary
Qualifications for Tax Manager
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA and/or Master's in Taxation preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role.
Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP,
Proficient at researching Tax Law
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
