Position Purpose:
Integral partner in strategy and decision making for the company's commercial products. Responsible for formulating strategy for implementation for the commercial product. Directs a management team which is responsible for end-to-end commercial product processes, related to creation of templates and filing submission/approval for various commercial product segments. Lead a motivated team of managers and their direct reports.
- Develop and lead the department vision, including quarterly vital setting and multi-year roadmap, that support organizational goals, which incorporates continuous staffing assessments and refinement of roles and responsibilities. Serves as a leader, responsible for making decisions related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within the department and leads multiple managers or highly specialized subject matter experts to meet commercial product and regulatory business goals.
- Support the team with development activities for filing documents and submissions; oversee management of regulatory filings and audit processes, including the review of commercial product-related materials.
- Review, interpretation, and summarization of current and/or newly proposed and enacted regulatory updates with the development of comprehensive summaries, cross-functional risk assessment and subsequent communication to business leads and leadership for implementation readiness - related to filing documentation.
- Leads management team with strategic mindset to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government regulators.
- Direct the implementation of measurable, repeatable, scalable, and predictable processes related to organizational goals and drive continuous improvement to enable the business to scale efficiently and effectively.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Communications, Healthcare, Political Science, or related degree. +7 years of experience in commercial health insurance or highly regulated industry. In depth knowledge of health products, procedures, and state insurance regulations. Knowledge of SERFF and HIOS or prior experience with state filing documents in healthcare preferred. Experience providing product regulatory proposals and recommendations; ability to propose recommendations and make decisions related to process improvement initiatives. Pre-Law, Master's Degree or JD desirable. +3 years of supervisory/management experience.
Travel: 20% within continental United StatesPay Range: $113,800.00 - $210,500.00 per year
