Inspects, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical systems, including fixed and rotating equipment, engines, pumps, generators, compressors, piping, valves, vessels. Identifies and implements reliability, integrity, economic, carbon reduction, and safety improvements for above systems.

The I&E Mechanic will troubleshoot and make mechanical repairs to:
- Process control loops
- Displacer and DP type level transmitters
- Control valves
- I/P transducers
- Electronic transmitters
- RTD's and thermocouples
- Control systems
- Low and medium voltage distribution systems
- 480 and 4160 three-phase systems
- 120, 240, 480, and 4160 volt motor control circuits
- Three-phase induction motors
- Other miscellaneous instrument and electrical system work as required
The position works with other Maintenance crafts, Reliability, Operations and Engineering on a daily basis.
The position will typically work a 4x10 dayshift work schedule. Typical shifts are M-Th or T-F but can vary based on work needs. Occasional shift work is required.
The position may also require work outside regular shifts when needed.
Work associated with this position is done outdoors year-round.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, a completed apprenticeship, or certificate/degree from a trade or technical school with experience.
- Experience working with and/or knowledge of: Electrical drawings o Class 1 Division 1 and 2 requirements o National Electric Code.
- Must have a proven safety record and be familiar with OSHA requirements for the trade.
- This is a safety sensitive position - all applicants must pass pre-employment physical examinations, drug screen, and background security checks.
- Must be able to qualify for a TWIC card within 2 months of employment.
