Primary Responsibilities:
- Enter prescriptions from intake to order completion and verify member / patient data
- Contact patients, pharmacists, and doctor's offices as a liaison for the pharmacy team
- Communicate clearly and concisely via phone and electronic methods to patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers
- Contact patients to complete refill assessments, request payment information, establish delivery details, and set up treatment in the Ambulatory Infusion Suite and/or other outpatient facilities
- Access, input, and retrieve prescription and medical/lab information from computer system
- Verify whether medication is reimbursable, and resolve rejected claims
- Process prescription refills and interpret supply needs as related to various therapies
- Resolve customer issues, ensuring accurate information is provided
- Able to multitask and channel communication from various business partners, driving patient centric quality care
- Follow all State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality code of ethics
- Work within a team to triage and respond to all compounding needs promptly
- Maintain ongoing didactic and practical training related to sterile compounding

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
- Intermediate experience with Windows PC applications including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
- Previous Home Infusion experience
- Pharmacy/prescription data entry experience
New York Residents Only: The hourly range for New York residents is $16.54 to $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
