Job SummaryThe Sr. Manager, DE&I Communications develops and executes internal and external communications and engagement strategies in support of our Connectivity & Platforms DE&I Team. The ideal candidate is a trusted partner and skilled communicator that is focused on driving business objectives, team engagement outcomes, and influencing a culture of inclusion through communications strategies. This role reports to the Senior Director, DE&I Communications and is highly collaborative with leaders, peers, and cross-functional teams across the organization.
Job Description Core Responsibilities- Develops and executes thoughtful DE&I communications strategies that drive employee engagement based on team and leader-specific needs
- Approaches communications through the application of marketing/communications best practices, data/insights, employee experience, channel strategies and change management to help deliver effective DE&I engagement campaigns and support business objectives
- Develops rich, relevant content; keeps Impact & Inclusion communications fresh, creative, and engaging; regularly develops and explores new ideas and strategies
- Writes effectively and with appropriate tone across DE&I leader messages, talking points, presentations, intranet content, digital signage, FAQs, videos, etc.
- Counsels and supports leaders and peers on the approaches that will achieve desired outcomes; manages through influence and builds trusting relationships
- Partners and consults with other Internal Communicators across the company to ensure alignment and the effective dissemination of relevant messaging and materials
- Uses data and analytics to assess and improve strategies
- Manages consultants/contracted resources as needed, including graphic designers, creative agencies, event planning firms, etc.
- Graphic design and video production experience is desirable
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- Six to seven+ years of experience as a communicator
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Highly professional and comfortable interacting and consulting with senior executives across the organization; ability to develop effective partnerships at all levels
- Experience managing many projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience executing high impact deliverables across a range of tactics and mediums: written, presentation, events, videos, social platforms, digital content and more
- Experience supporting diversity, equity, inclusion and/or employee engagement is preferred
- Crisis communications experience desired
- Efficient, fast-working, results-oriented
- Ability to work independently and within a deadline-driven environment.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and 365 applications (OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Share Point
- Proficiency in graphic design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, etc.) and video production a plus
- People leader experience preferred
