Sr. Tax Manager
Tax Manager that reports to Managing Partner
Duties
Manage client expectations and develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes
Manage and mentor members of tax team to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement
Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
Identify unusual and/or unexpected items in client data suggesting further analysis or inquiry may be necessary
Review and occasionally prepare tax returns for business (partnerships including LLCs, C and S corporations) and individual (personal, estate and trusts) clients including related research and planning
Review tax projections for quarterly estimates
Respond to IRS and other tax authorities notices and handle tax examinations
Review workpapers needed to support tax return preparation including accrual to cash and M-1 entries
Maintain a fun, positive and productive work environment
Maintain your professional development and provide growth for professional staff through internal and external formal training seminars and on the job training
Qualifications
CPA, JD or Equivalent
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related finance required, Master in Tax preferred
Extensive individual/corporate/partnership tax knowledge
Self-motivated with a desire to learn and perform excellent work
Attention to detail and highly developed analytical skills
Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting and tax best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
7+ years relevant work experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
