CarShield is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on the product development team. The successful candidate will have good communication skills to support collaboration with other design disciplines such as Mechanical, Firmware, and Software Engineering as well as Product Development and Project Management teams.
Responsibilities for Electrical Engineer:
Collaborate with product development teams to translate their requirements into electrical design specifications.
Develop product(s) that meet the specifications.
Develop prototypes to validate designs.
Collaborate with suppliers and factories for mass production and testing.
Multi-tasking is common with multiple projects in progress simultaneously.
Requirements for Electrical Engineer:
5-10 years' experience in Embedded Electronics Product Development.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
Proficiency with Schematic Capture and PCB Layout CAD software (Altium Designer preferred).
Experience using Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Bench Power Supplies, Multimeters, etc.
Experience designing with Processors, Memories, Microcontrollers, Power Conversion and Management Devices, and Communication buses.
Experience collaborating with other design teams such as Mechanical, Firmware, Software, and Test Engineering.
Detail oriented with ability to clearly document, test and communicate design performance.
Preferred Addition Experience for Electrical Engineer:
Design of low-power, battery operated systems.
Design with RF communications systems (Cellular, WiFi, BLE, SubGhz, etc.).
Design for Digital Audio.
Experience testing and troubleshooting for Certification and Compliance with government and industry standards.
Experience designing for mass production testing.
Experience with Agile project management using Jira.
Pay Rate and Benefits for Electrical Engineer:
Salary commensurate with experience.
