Location: Arkansas City, KS.
Role Overview: The Senior Staff Accountant is a pivotal member of our accounting team, responsible for managing a variety of financial processes including payments processing, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily cash transactions and approve necessary transfers.
Prepare and analyze weekly journal entries related to operational expenses.
Develop and present weekly and monthly financial reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs.
Conduct detailed reconciliations of bank accounts and balance sheets each month.
Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and manage all related transactions.
Serve as a backup for other accounting positions and contribute to team efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least two years of progressive experience in an accounting role.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Exceptional analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, capable of effective collaboration and presentation.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
Flexible and adaptive to changing business needs.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
