Responsible for direct contact with customers for the purpose of increasing sales and managing all aspects of customer relationships while meeting all reporting, budgeting, and forecasting requirements for assigned territory
Duties and responsibilities - Share retailer insight, trends and directions with marketing team to collaborate on product development, marketing and merchandizing.
- Coordinate activity to ensure that all customer portals and websites are up to date and current.
- Execute regular in person headquarter calls with assigned retailers to cultivate relationship and to ensure full immersion into their corporate culture and personnel.
- Attend and participate in Divisional and Corporate meeting events that take place throughout the year.
- General knowledge and understanding of the filing process and nuances surrounding FDA Filings, timeline, ANDA requirements, etc.
- Responsible for all sales, forecasting, planning of future goals, and budgetary aspects of assigned territory and specific customers .
- Interact with OTC Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, Quality, Regulatory and other required groups to manage all aspect of sales and meet customer needs .
- Manage ancillary sales organizations (brokers and manufacturer representatives).
- Implement approved promotional/marketing plans to maximize sales .
- Work with Commercial Project Management to ensure label requests for existing and new items are developed and processed based on account guidelines, as well as to ensure other commercial requirements are addressed in a timely manner .
- Monitor OTC Store Brand account/product sales to ensure FG inventory is sold through before it becomes short-dated.
- Work with Commercial Analytics to analyze marketplace and competition to identify, develop and execute plans to promote future sales of new and existing OTC/Store Brand products.
- Direct and manage customer's survey, new product forms, and outside audit firms to ensure Company's compliance.
- Responsible for working conventions and trade shows as necessary to meet existing and new customers.
- Contract development, negotiation, implementation and compliance on such agreements as required and approved by VP, OTC Sales & Marketing.
- Collaborate with Finance to track and monitor receivable balances of customer accounts past
- Initiate and lead regular sales meetings with customers to discuss current and new products, supply chain update
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 4+ years OTC and/or other consumer packaged goods sales experience with retailers,
- Minimum of 2+ years calling on customers for private label CPG products
- Working knowledge of consumer product distribution channels and all classes of trade (mass merchandisers, drug chains, food stores, wholesalers and distributors) required.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to take direction, multi-task, and work independently and in concert with Commercial Project Management, Commercial Analytics, and other sales support functions (customer service, supply chain, etc.).
- Forecasting capability and strong computer skills (intermediate level of PowerPoint, Excel and Word) .
- Ability to travel as required.
- A demonstrated knowledge of syndicated data and how to use in building compelling stories with the trade
