We are looking for a workers' compensation defense attorney to join our workers' compensation practice group that desires to have immediate client-contact, get experience in depositions and trials, and handle court appearances. We are looking for an attorney with experience in workers' compensation litigation to join our successful legal practice. Our clients include major amusement parks and recreational service providers, national retail and grocery chains, staffing agencies, PEOs, transportation and trucking companies, and entities involved in all aspects of the hospitality industry. We believe in aggressive advocacy, and frequently take cases to trial. Our firm is client and employee focused, and we place the highest value on maintaining relationships. We are seeking a self-starter, who can work independently with mentorship support, to handle all aspects of litigation. Remote work arrangements are available, with the ability to physically appear in court, for depositions, and make other personal appearances throughout California.
This position requires at least two (2) years of experience in some, or all, of the following substantive areas:
- Appearing on matters at the WCAB
• Appearing for and taking depositions
• Experience in managing a litigation caseload
• Experience drafting legal documents, such as briefs, motions and discovery requests
• Experience conducting research on legal issues associated with the case
• Excellent analytical and writing skills
• Strong communication skills, including communicating with clients, co-workers and partners and providing timely reporting and appearing in court
• Must be admitted to practice in California

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
