RH2 is currently seeking an experienced, collaborative Project Manager, Civil Engineer for our Nampa, Idaho office.
Responsibilities include the following:
Partner with Office Director to lead and manage design and/or planning efforts for Nampa Office
Manage project resources, budgets, and timelines across offices for multiple projects in different stages of work.
Coordinate work efforts between multiple disciplines, such as analytical, geotechnical, structural, electrical, and permitting groups.
Interact directly with clients and review agencies.
Provide project management and marketing support efforts on a variety of projects including lead project manager role.
Participate in new business development to expand services and client base.
Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Staff Engineers
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of transferrable skills and experience in a public sector consulting environment.
Experience with water and/or wastewater planning and design projects or transportation projects; specialty experience in pipelines and collection systems, pump stations, storage tanks and treatment projects required.
Experience with local and regional design standards and ability to apply those standards to design and analysis necessary.
Experience as lead project manager, preferable on projects requiring cross-departmental work as well as project of substantial cost and duration.
Demonstrated project management experience on multi-disciplinary municipal engineering projects including management of subconsultants.
Experience managing municipal and public-sector projects (federal, state, city, and/or county)
Ability to manage projects from project acquisition, preliminary design, permitting, design through construction providing exceptional customer services.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prepare project proposals, budgets, and review invoices.
Ability to successfully solve difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Ability to devise new approaches to encountered problems.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to respond and adapt to changing client needs and schedules while providing exceptional customer service.
Must work collaboratively with teams in multiple offices.
Ability to work independently and apply sound professional judgement.
Must be able to fluently read, write, and understand English.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and mentoring staff; planning, assigning, and directing work.
Education:
Bachelor of Science of higher degree in either Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
Current P.E. license in the State of Washington, State of Idaho, State of Oregon (or the ability to obtain one within 6 months from date of hire)
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Word preferred at an intermediate skill level
Advanced MS Excel and Project skills needed
Experience with Deltek a strong plus
AutoCAD at advanced level
Civil 3D and BIM experience at intermediate level
