The Manager, Hotels & Resorts Development is part of the Hotels & Resorts Line of Business Development team whose scope includes providing leadership and support through all phases of Resorts projects including strategy, planning, design and execution. This includes building new resorts and re-imagining existing resorts with a focus on maintaining and enhancing the guest and cast experience during and after construction. You will report to the Owner Representative, Resorts Development & Integration.
What You Will Do- Represent Operations during the design, development, construction, and turnover phases of resort projects.
- Oversee all aspects of field logistics, project delivery, and turnover to operations for resort projects.
- Partner with Facilities Asset Management and Walt Disney Imagineering project teams, as well as operations leadership teams, from construction to completion, by attending project meetings and assisting the key liaisons with pre-opening initiatives and timelines.
- Communicate design intent to Operations through drawing review and interpretation.
- Communicate regular project status updates to key partners.
- Conduct site visits/tours to monitor and share progress including adherence to design and specifications.
- Lead project acceptance process, track outstanding issues, ensure turnover items are finalized and accept projects on behalf of operator.
- Conduct after action review to collect and communicate lessons learned for future projects
- Facilitate training for project managers to support acceptance process across all projects.
- acts as the key liaison between the Operator and the Developer throughout design and construction.
- Leads Program Development Managers and Program Delivery Specialists
- Accepts the final project from the developer and the contractor on behalf of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts jointly with the FOS QA representative.
- Review project schedules for new resorts, room rehabs and IFP projects, review project scope and field planning, and coordinate field logistics with FAM project teams.
- Integrate with SME team and hotel operations to coordinate project start, turnover, and occupancy of areas by various departments after turnover
- Partner with Manager, Asset Refresh and other Line of Business teams on developing organizational plans, project milestones, etc. as part of overall Resort Development planning
- Support operator requirements budget, development, procurement and delivery as needed
- Provide post-turnover support with WDI, FAM, FOS and operations for post construction issues

Preferred Qualifications- 10 + years of work experience, with 5 + years of progressive leadership experience
- Project Management Professional certification
- Previous experience within Walt Disney Parks and Resorts in a development, project management or hospitality leadership position
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Smartsheet
EducationBachelor’s Degree in related fields, or equivalent experience
