Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated, experienced Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will play a crucial role in the completion of various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in concrete finishing techniques and a strong work ethic to ensure high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
- Execute concrete finishing tasks with precision and attention to detail
- Read and understand blueprints
- Work on construction sites to pour, level, smooth, and finish concrete surfaces
- Utilize power tools effectively for concrete finishing
- Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete
- Layout and install all types of joints (i.e. expansion, construction and contraction)
- Figure quantity and order concrete
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely project completion
- Build and set concrete forms, use level instrument, and tie rebar
- Perform general cleanup
- Assist in other construction facets our company performs
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
Experience/Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role (5+ years)
- Proficiency in masonry techniques
- Strong math skills
- Ability to work on construction sites and follow safety protocols
- Experience with metal stud framing is a plus
- Commercial driving experience preferred for transportation of equipment and materials
- Knowledge of various power tools used in concrete finishing
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes
- Ability to work in any condition (extreme heat, cold, tight areas, kneeling, at heights, etc)
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well alone and with a team
- Effective communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a drug test
