Occupational Therapist - Seacoast Area, NH
Future In Sight has an immediate need for an Occupational Therapists to serve in the Seacoast Area of NH. Put your training and experience to work in our dynamic, growing nonprofit that provides rehabilitation and training across New Hampshire to thousands of adults who are blind or visually impaired. Work one-on-one with adults and seniors in their homes to evaluate how sight loss has affected their daily life and provide treatment on how to modify tasks or environments to optimize safety and independence. The ideal candidate resides in the Seacoast area and is looking for full-time employment, however others may be considered depending on qualifications and experience.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Occupational Therapy, the primary responsibilities are:
Responsibilities:
Evaluate client needs, develop goals in conjunction with the client, and design treatment plan
Teach individual skills and techniques required for participation in activities
Recommend special equipment and adaptation of client's living environment
Provide individual training with low vision aids, devices and assistive technology as required
Monitor client progress throughout treatment, prepare reports and communicate with the referring physician or agency; maintain records and reports as appropriate
Select constructive activities suited to an individual's physical capability, cognition and interest to increase independence, assist in restoration of functions and aid in adjustment to disability
Independently manage schedule and client caseload
Qualifications:
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited College or University
Licensed occupational therapist-eligible to practice in NH
Low vision rehabilitation experience preferred but not required; we will provide low vision rehabilitation training if needed

Schedule:
Full-time hours preferred, but part-time will be considered. Travel within the state required as services are provided in the homes of clients; office located at 25 Walker Street, Concord, NH but candidates will primarily be working remotely.
