Job Description:
We are seeking a highly capable vascular technologist to help our physicians diagnose vascular conditions. In this role, you will be obtaining patient information, conducting ultrasound examinations, and providing ultrasound images of a high-quality.
To ensure success, vascular technologists should possess solid knowledge of ultrasound technologies. A top-notch candidate will be someone whose ultrasound examination skills translate into accurate diagnoses of vascular diseases and disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain patients' personal information and medical history.
- Prepare treatment areas for ultrasound examinations and positioning patients on ultrasound tables.
- Explaining ultrasound procedures to patients.
- Applying non-invasive ultrasound techniques to diagnose blood vein, artery, vessel diseases or disorders.
- Adjust equipment to produce high-quality ultrasound images for doctors to interpret.
- Compare patients most recent scans to previous results and assess diagnostic information.
- Preparing and providing summarized ultrasound findings to doctors in a timely manner.
- Handling hazardous substances and biological waste as prescribed, as well as sterilizing equipment.
- Document processes and maintain patient records.
- Keep informed of advancements in vascular technology.

Requirements:
- Associate degree of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved College of Radiological Sciences or Ultrasound Technology required Bachelor s degree preferred.
- Active Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) license within state of practice required.
- One year of ultrasound experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of plethysmography for arterial and venous circulation evaluation.
- Registration by the credentialing bodies for Ultrasound Technologists required.
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ultrasound) is required.
- CPR Certification required.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures of Ultrasound and the operation and maintenance of Radiologic and/or Ultrasound equipment required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a caring nature.
