Line Cooks (Chefs / Kitchen Prep / Kitchen Team Members)
We are excited to offer positions with our Mekiko Team. You will learn the Mekiko style of food preparation.
We pay a high hourly rate based on experience and offer additional service fee tip sharing paid out in your weekly check.

Responsibilities
- Properly learn and execute all of our recipe procedures
- Maintain cleanliness throughout kitchen
- Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Communicate ticket times to Team Members
- Keep food orders flowing continuously from the kitchen
Job Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years of age, any culinary education is a plus! Good knife skills, knowledge of meat and fish prep.
Perform the Physical Demands - Remain on your feet for several hours at a time, ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, withstand high-temperature conditions, bend, kneel, and stoop
Prefer kitchen experience of 6 months minimum.
Be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Pays up to $20 per hour
Mekiko Cantina offers a Kitchen Education & Appreciation Program. A 3% fee, applied to each bill, allows our kitchen staff to share in the success of the restaurant and creates a better guest experience. This fee is paid out to the back-of-house team every week.
