Responsible and accountable for providing for placement of vascular access devices within the inpatient and outpatient hospital setting. In addition, collaborates with nursing and medical staff to determine the most appropriate candidates for PICC insertion and provide clinical staff with education relative to care and maintenance of the PICC lines.

- Knowledgeable in the legal aspects of nursing.
- Completes all needed competencies in PICC, Power Glide and US PIV placements.
- Completes competency in 3cg tip confirmation.
- Recognizes and assists in the treatment of medication reactions and documents appropriately.
Required ExperienceRequired:
- Graduate from an approved school of nursing
- Current California RN license
- Current BCLS certification
- Two (2) years clinical experience in an acute care nursing setting.
- Evidence of continuing education and self-development.
Preferred:
- Preferred vascular access experience.
- Vascular Access Board Certification
