Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):$54.400 - $67.470 - $80.540
The stated pay scale reflects the range as defined by the collective bargaining agreement between Sharp HealthCare and Sharp Professional Nurses Network, United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals, NUHHCE, AFSME, AFL-CIO. Placement within the range is based on years of RN experience.
What You Will DoIndividualized and goal directed nursing care shall be provided to patients through the use of nursing process (assessment, planning implementation, and evaluation) which shall be documented.
Required Qualifications- Graduate of accredited school of nursing Current registration with California Board of Nurse Examiners.

- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
Preferred Qualifications- Recent RN experience in acute care hospital.
Other Qualification Requirements- ACLS for SICU, PACU, Tele, Emergency Dept, Urgent care. NRP for Labor and delivery, NICU, PSCU. Other certifications as determined by the department.

ASSESSMENT
Performs and documents comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments (physical and psychosocial) to include patient/family/ significant other, according to departmental standards.
Based on interpretation of assessment data, reports changes and/or abnormal findings to the physician or appropriate team member in a timely manner.
PLAN OF CARE
Develops individualized Patient Care Plans or Clinical Pathways involving patient/family/ significant others and healthcare team in the planning process.
Anticipates effects of planned nursing interventions and establishes patient care goals on a shift to shift basis in response to initial and ongoing assessments.
Plans and organizes care, including development of discharge plans and goals that provide for the continuation of the patients level of optimum health beyond discharge.
Incorporates acute care standards of care into the overall plan of care.
Formulates individualized teaching plans for patients/families/caregivers that are consistent with identified knowledge deficits and assesses appropriate resources.
IMPLEMENTATION OF PATIENT CARE

Follow all departmental policies and procedures to ensure personal protection (i.e. annual TB skin test) and patient safety.
Identifies and reports any variances. - Skills roster
Demonstrates proficiency in identified skills and procedures, including basic, advanced and age specific skills:
Basic- Demonstrates competence in basic acute care skills during annual mandatory skills labs.
Advanced- Demonstrates competence in advanced, unit specific skills (ie. CAPD, chemotherapy, orthopedics, national level of certification in nursing, etc.)
Demonstrates proficiency in identified skills including basic and age specific competencies of:
Neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups and mother-child, acute care, critical care, trauma, SNF, rehab, mental health, outpatient and preop patient groups according to departmental policies and procedures, and respective skills rosters.
Age Specific:
Successfully completes written exam (Part I) of acute/skilled nursing lab and/or completes self learning module (SLM).
Post test 80% or better.
