Woolsey Morcom is looking to add to our firm's fast growing first-party property practice. We are currently seeking an attorney with 1 to 3 years of experience in first-party property litigation.
Compensation package TBD based on experience.
Responsibilities
Navigating Florida's pre-suit requirements
Prepare various types of motions, pleadings, exhibits, and correspondence.
Respond to Discovery Requests, to include requests for production, requests for admissions, and interrogatories; prepare policyholder's discovery requests; monitoring and obtaining discovery responses from opposing counsel.
Taking and defending depositions
Coordinating with expert witnesses, including general contractors and engineers
Attending mediation
Qualification
The successful candidate will have 1+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation / first party property litigation experience (plaintiffs or defense) on Florida cases
Must be an active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deadline and detail oriented
Desire to work in a collaborative environment
