Responsibilities Performing all Respiratory Care procedures in the general and critical care settings. Oversight and management of all Blood Gas related duties including but not limited to; blood gas machine maintenance/troubleshooting, Respiratory Care staff blood gas training/annual competencies, RT staff direct annual observations, and OR staff direct annual observations .
Qualifications Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program
- Current RCP Texas State License
- Mandatory completion of NBRC Advanced Practitioner (registry) exam
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS, PALS and NRP certification
- Completion of NBRC Advanced Practitioner (registry) exam
- Current NBRC credentials
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution, with at least two years of training and/or experience in nonwaived testing - preferred
