What does an Assistant Project Manager do at Blackdog?
An Assistant Project Manager at Blackdog is an integral part of building our award-winning projects. They utilize their skills and knowledge under the direction of the Project Manager, to successfully manage remodeling projects ranging in size from $25K to $750K. Our Assistant Project Manager diligently ensures, that projects are delivered on time and on budget in a way that exceeds our client's expectations.
Job Requirements of an Assistant Project Manager include:
Responsibilities:
- Help to oversee all aspects of constructions projects from planning to implementation
- Allocate resources for assigned projects
- Communicate with onsite personnel and subcontractors.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Pull building permits in New Hampshire and Massachusetts
- Estimate and generate change orders
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of construction experience
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Solid skills with the use of Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, and Word
- UDA Construction Online and Quickbooks software Experience a plus
- Massachusetts CSL strongly recommended
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
For the right candidate, we offer:
- A competitive starting wage ranging from $55,000 to $65,000 per year (based on experience)
