Description:
General Duties1. Schedule all CPI/GO/Elsevier/Zywave training. This includes but is not limited to confirming new hires and current employees and putting this in ERSP.
2. Participate in team meetings with A/C's and management to support recruiting needs.
3. Follow up weekly with employees regarding credentials to keep them current and up to date.
4. Recruiting support to ensure that the customers we support have staffing hours to meet the POS hours. Ensure that the onboarding staff have the required credentials prior to hiring and prior to working with customers.
5. Schedule all pre-hire training for onboarding staff including but not limited to person centered training packet and new hire training packet (NHTP).
6. Follow check off lists provided to ensure all duties are complete and work with HR Generalist.
Recruiting1. Work with Colleagues to keep apprised of hiring needs on a weekly basis.2. Screen initial candidates and set up interviews.
3. Conduct employee interviews and identify potential customer fit.
4. Manage and coordinate interviews between potential candidates and customers.
5. Assure employees have verifiable references and assure they are checked prior to hire.
6. Assure employees have a clear criminal background before adding them to the schedule.
7. Communicate with new employees regarding paperwork, credential requirements and mandatory training dates and locations.
8. Assure new hire paperwork is 100% accurate and complete and have HR Director double check file for auditing accuracy.
9. Maintain Onboarding Spreadsheet so that all interviews, transfers, and paperwork are maintained and visible and able to be reassigned in the event of absence.
10. Base Schedules – maintain them and communicate with Scheduling Team in real time to assure all changes are up to date.
11. Disseminate weekly HR update to the management team.
12. Ensure new hire paperwork is complete and certifications are maintained current.
Requirements:
STATUS: FT/Regular
DEFINITION: Business professional who is responsible for supporting the HR, Recruiting, and Scheduling needs of the organization. The position reports to the Human Resource Director and will seek guidance and direction from the ED accordingly.
Experience: One years' experience in the field of office management or as an Administrative Assistant or HR Assistant, scheduling, and recruiting.
Certifications: Must have and maintain current CPR/First Aid Certification and present upon hire.
Interaction/Organizational/Social Skills:
· Must be able to relate positively to individuals, their families/guardians, neighbors, Regional Center representatives and other community members.
· Must possess the belief and attitude that all people with developmental disabilities can be served in their communities.
· Must be capable of using language that portrays people with developmental disabilities in a way other than the typical medical model.
· Must possess the belief that a developmental disability is not an illness.
· Must be able to exercise judgment and initiative in working for people.
· Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.
· Must be able to effectively organize a variety of work tasks for self and complete these in priority order.
· Must wear clothing that is appropriate to the occasion and that is not excessively torn or revealing as determined by a board of the employee's peers and customers.
· Must have own transportation, valid California driver's license and insurable driving record and satisfy the minimum State requirement regarding auto insurance.
Physical Requirements:
· Duties may require work time be spent traveling from one place to another.
· Must have the ability to effectively implement First Aid/CPR/CPI procedures.
· Must have the ability to work on multiple assignments at one time.
· Must have the ability to prioritize multiple projects and communicate effectively with team members and management.
· Must have the ability to push people using wheelchairs, assist people experiencing seizures and assist people with transferring to/from wheelchairs.
· Must be capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 60 lbs.
· Must be able to physically assist people who are experiencing aggressive or assaultive behavior.
