ResponsibilitiesSuzanne Calvert and Associates is growing its in-house counsel practice! We are adding Insurance Defense attorneys with trial experience to better serve our customers, leveraging our leadership position in the insurance and financial services industry.
About our Office:
Our office is located near the historic downtown district - Dallas
Our employees are considered hybrid employees – spending some time working in the office and some time working remotely.
Your onboarding experience will set you up to manage a caseload independently and proactively move files from inception to resolution in an insurance defense environment.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic with the ability to independently work the entire life cycle of a case, from answer to trial, while providing superior customer service. Successful attorneys on this team possess excellent communication skills, are exceptionally organized, and adept with technology.
Qualifications- Insurance Defense experience desired, preferably with 1st or 2nd chair trial experience.
- Must have an active license to practice law in Texas and be a member in good standing with the bar.
- Must have a law degree from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials.
- Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
New Graduate Qualifications: If not already licensed, new law school graduates must be in the process of preparing for and taking the Texas bar exam this year. Mock trial/trial advocacy experience is required. Strong written & oral communication skills – written samples may be requested.
