Job Summary Develops relationships with facility administration and staff by educating them regarding the services and support that Pharmacy can provide to their facility and their patients. Supports transition of care resulting in an increase in customer satisfaction with Avera Long-Term Care pharmacy. The Quality Program Nurse is responsible for fostering customer retention through development of business communication relationships; delivery of support documentation, and providing education. Supports day-to-day activities associated with the sales and delivery of customer prescriptions to facilities and clinical outcome reporting activities. Responsible for support and education on pharmacy's IV program.
Education and/or Experience - Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- One to two years of nursing experience is required; long-term care experience preferred
- Understanding of the Long-Term Care practice environment and current healthcare issues is preferred.
- Proficiency in IV access; certification in Midline/PICC insertion preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration - Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and states where pharmacy services are delivered and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
