Job Summary
The Nursing Practice Coordinator supports the CNO at the acute care facility by supporting practice standardization and ensuring new changes in practice are efficiently and effectively rolled out. This role is used to review quality, safety, and patient satisfaction data and creating action plans, and leads improvement efforts. This role should work in collaboration with the Clinical Education department to ensure competency-based training requirements are maintained. Serves as subject-matter expert for new products, processes, and technologies.
Accountabilities
Ensures clinical policies, procedures, and protocols support evidence-based practice to provide consistency and drive performance outcomes. Works in collaboration with the Nursing Practice team to ensure that new policies, procedures, and practices are rolled out and implemented in a timely manner on all shifts. Performs just-in-time education based on changes in practice, RCAs, and code debriefings. Reviews quality and safety data to determine skill gaps and ensures action plans to address. - 40%
Leads efficient go-lives for new products and initiatives, makes decisions regarding order sets, etc., and follows through to ensure adoption on all shifts, serve as facility Epic nursing documentation resource. - 20%
Reviews regulatory education, certification, and competency validation compliance data provided by the Clinical Education department and partners with facility CNO to improve compliance. - 10%
Collaboration with Clinical Education to conduct needs assessments, identify facility clinical education requirements, communicate training and education requests. - 10%
Supports all newly hired and/or newly transferred clinical team members at the facility level, as they work to successfully accomplish their individual orientation plan, troubleshoots initial access and competency deficits noted that would affect a timely transition to independent practice. Provides encouragement and aid to new graduate team members in the residency program, coaches preceptors. - 20%

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

In lieu of the master's degree requirement above, a BSN or bachelor's degree may be considered if the applicant signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreeing to enroll in an accredited applicable master's degree program within one year and obtain the master's degree within two years.
In lieu of bachelor's degree or master's degree requirements, will accept DNP or PhD in Nursing.
